What is the Lose Fat – Get Fit Challenge?
This Challenge is different from most other challenges as it focuses on improving your overall health and fitness level. As your health and fitness levels improve and you establish healthy lifestyle habits and routines, healthy weight loss will follow.
Excess body fat occurs as a result of a number of contributing factors, including inactivity, an improperly balanced diet, over indulgence, poor sleeping habits, nutritional imbalances, medical conditions and/or prescription or over-the-counter medications, not to mention the stress encountered from work, family and everyday life. The key to reducing body fat and keeping the fat off is to establish realistic lifestyle habits that address all of the above key factors. During the course of the Challenge, you will be:
- Establishing new lifestyle habits to last the rest of your life, including consistent training habits and healthier eating habits.
- Learning how to effectively balance foods for increased energy, improved performance during activity and improved endurance throughout the day as well as to promote weight loss.
- Learning how to evaluate your own eating habits so you can get yourself back on track when your best intentions go astray.
- Training with kettlebells, which maximizes the time you have to exercise by incorporating strength and cardiovascular training into one 30-minute workout session.
- Stretching to reduce the risk of injury and increase your flexibility which will allow you to perform better during your kettlebell classes.
- Focusing on breathing deeply to switch the body from fat-storing mode to fat-burning mode.
Who Should Participate in the Challenge?
Anyone who is interested in losing weight and/or learning how to lead a more balanced lifestyle so they can have more energy, be healthier and happier and keep excess weight off for good.
You Receive:
- Unlimited kettlebell classes.
- Weekly weigh-ins.
- Measurements taken during the first and last weeks of the Challenge.
- Personalized nutrition recommendations, to establish the balance of nutrients that is best for you.
- Weekly nutrition information including tips and recipes to assist you in changing your eating habits.
- Nutrition support throughout the duration of the Challenge.
- Three nutrition seminars to enhance your learning – Sunday, Sept 10th, Saturday, Oct 1st and Saturday, Nov 5th at 12:00 noon.
- Two Fitness tests held during the second and last weeks of the Challenge.
- A free yoga class - Saturdays at 8:15 a.m.
- A Kettlebell Club stainless steel Pure Hydration water bottle if your body composition improves and you improve on your fitness test.
